It is finally official! The BEST WESTERN PLUS Palatin Boardinghouse opens its gates. On 3rd December 2012 a press conference was convened on the occasion of the opening of the Boardinghouse and the key was officially transferred.
Klaus-Michael Schindlmeier, director of BEST WESTERN PLUS Palatin congress hotel thanked the investor Mr. Blasius, building constructor Mr. Mohr and interior designer Mr. Stadtaus. The press conference was completed by a get-together with champagne reception and lunch.
The three-storey Boardinghouse enlarges the 115 hotel rooms of the BEST WESTERN PLUS Palatin congress hotel, which was opened 20 years ago, by 14 commodious studios, two juniorsuites and three exclusive suites. The Boardinghouse is set right opposite to the Hotel and near the centre. It offers a comfortable alternative for demanding business travelers without passing on the comfort of a four star hotel.
The responsible interior design bureau had to plan modern and at the same time very comfortable rooms, which are also individual so that the guest would feel comfortable for a long time. The interior designers decided to use a lot of contrasts between colours and materials; a black carpet was for example laid on a light floor and everything was combined with violet furniture and silver curtains.
To establish comfort, the designers created rounded walls and furniture with curvatures. The top of the beds include asymmetric ornaments, while the desks are slanted towards the windows for that the guests have the possibility to look outside without being dazzled by the sun. The large-sized flat screens are arranged with modern pictures at the walls and the lamps fill every room with warm, friendly light. The guests can thereby expect rooms with a special colour scheme to make them feel comfortable.
